ARTINFO NAMES HOLLIS FRAMPTON EXHIBITIONS AMONG BEST GALLERY SHOWS OF 2015

December 18, 2015—Internationally recognized art news and commentary site Blouin Artinfo has selected the Hollis Frampton photographic exhibitions at New York City gallery Room East, and CEPA Gallery in Buffalo, NY, among “The Best Gallery Shows of 2015.”

Dean Brownrout Modern/Contemporary represents the photographic print work of the estate of Hollis Frampton.

In praising the events, writer Mostafa Heddaya called the shows “a vivifying doubleshot…the exhibitions at CEPA and Room East offered an important and overdue contribution to the ongoing study of an artist whose cult status belies a greater relevance.”

The CEPA Gallery exhibition was the first comprehensive survey of Frampton’s photographs in nearly 30 years. The Room East presentation of Frampton’s series ADSVMVS ABSVMVS is the first-ever New York City solo exhibition of his photography.
