GALERIE FRANCESCA PIA PRESENTS FIRST SWISS SOLO EXHIBITION OF HOLLIS FRAMPTON’S STILL PHOTOGRAPHY

March 19, 2021—Buffalo, NY—Dean Brownrout Modern/Contemporary is pleased to announce that, from March 27 through June 5, 2021, Galerie Francesca Pia in Zurich, Switzerland will present “Hollis Frampton.”

This is the first Swiss retrospective of Frampton’s still photography.

Hollis Frampton (1936-1984) is a pioneering filmmaker, writer, and photographer. His works are held in many important collections including the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Harvard University, the Museum of Modern Art, Walker Art Center, and the Whitney Museum of American Art.

Dean Brownrout Modern/Contemporary represents the photographic print work of Hollis Frampton.

Galerie Francesca Pia was founded in Bern in 1990, and relocated to Zurich in 2007. Artists represented, and/or exhibitions presented, include Isabelle Cornaro, Wade Guyton, Hans-Peter Feldmann, Thomas Hirschhorn, Mai-Thu Perret, and Betty Woodman.
